First Entry

Good morning, everyone! I've been up since 3:13am, just felt the Lord pushing me to get up and do some reading. I did some Bible study and prayed for awhile, asking the Lord to make me a better listener, more humble, and worry less. I really struggle with this, and need to keep bringing it back to Him.

Yesterday, Thomas and I went to see Ralph's World at the Morton Arboretum. I often feel a little sad when we are around neurotypical children, as they are interacting with friends and parents, easily talking and paying attention to the event. At first, I got this feeling, as Thomas faced away from the stage and wanted to eat everything in our picnic basket. Other children were dancing to the music and playing. But this feeling didn't last very long. Shortly after, I began to accept this difference, and Thomas is going to develop in his own time. He is beautiful and sensitive, and he needs his mother to "get over it". As a result, we enjoyed the time together and he happily talks about Ralph's World, despite paying much attention to the live atmosphere. The Lord is refining me every day.
